At Chakaden Farm, we ensure our piglets get a strong start by providing a clean, warm, and safe farrowing pen. Piglets are born with very little body fat and need proper warmth, especially at night. That is why we provide infrared heat lamps in the creep area bedded with clean sawdust, where they sleep warm and comfortable. Piglets learn to use the creep area within the first 40-48 hours of life, which gives them better protection, faster growth, and a healthy kick-start.
